Newt Gingrich's "nasty" view of Clinton
Former House Speaker and potential Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich on Wednesday bombarded New York Senator Hillary Clinton with a delabilitating attack saying that she is a "nasty" woman whose political team is genuinely talented but all the same bent on relentlessly running a ruthless political campaign. Mr. Gingrich made those comments in an interview with New York Post's Editorial team. It the interview, Mr. Gingrich said that he will make kown his own presidential ambitions in months.
Gingrich's surprising comments come after strained months of silence and what appeared to be his personnal resolve not to attack any Democratic presidential candidate. Asked about whether Americans were ready for Rudy Guiliani--a leader whom the interviewer noted has been referred as "nasty man" by Ed Koch", Mr. Gingrich fired; "as oppossed to a nasty woman".
Mr. Gingrich noted that no one can beat the Clinton camp when it comes to mudslinging, commenting on last week's jab-trading between the Clinton and Obama camps over David Geffen's funding and support for the Obama candidacy.
Mr. Gingrich said, "Nobody will out-mud the Clintons. You can’t beat them tactically ... They’re too relentless, they’re too well organized, they have too big a machine and they’ll just grind you down.”
Mr. Gigrich might actually have highlighed a view held by most politicians that the Clinton team is highly telented, unbeatably apt and glitteringly wise to be held down by any league of mudslinging or negative campigning. Sen. Clinton's team is a revered team that controls what other teams have to say lest they fire at them. It will be very interesting to see how other democratic presidential hopefuls behave under the candid watch of the Clinton political machine.
