Hillary Clinton Plans To Set a Record In Campaign Contributions

New York Senator, Hillary R. Clinton, is aspiring to touch the stars, she is aiming to go to the sun...by whatever means. In 2007 alone, she plans to check in some $60 million in campaign contributions. That sure will be a record-breaking dare, and she will for sure be a presidential queen bee. But how she is planning to accomplish this feat has a grayish inkling. According to Washington Post, she will be “playing hostess to billionaire Hollywood moguls, millionaire lawyers and venture capitalists”. You bet we will also see widespread 'bundling'---where political insiders contribute cash and bundle it up for one of their own to contribute it to their candidate of choice. While there's nothing wrong with any of that, given Hillary Clinton's soaked history of political fundraising irregularities (her Senate campaign was fined a whooping $35,000 by the Federal Election Commission), her fundraising technicalities will sure be closely monitored. Naming her fundraiser contributors will lend her clean in the public eye. And so will other Presidential candidates. It's important to actually be transparent on where one's contributions are actually coming from, and it shoves a horde of scandalous questions from such candidate's shoulders. Indeed, its the right thing to do. Yeah, it fosters voter trust. LINKS Hillary Set to Shatter Campaign Fundraising Records
